Our History
Since 1954
Turati Ovidio, a sole-trader company, was founded in 1954 in Verona. Its founder, who had become a transport expert, passed on the culture of safety and work experience to his children Paola, Francesco and Giovanni, who in 1984 established AUTOTRASPORTI TURATI OVIDIO SRL.
In 1989
the first warehouse for product storage was purchased and the vehicle fleet was constantly upgraded and renewed.
In 2003
the company moved to Colognola ai Colli, building a warehouse subject to Legislative Decree no. 105 of 26 June 2015, and expanded its headquarters and warehouses whilst increasing its operating staff.
In 2010
Site expansion and completion with the construction of the container terminal.
In 2018
Expanded vehicle fleet with an increase in the number of vehicles (35 road tractors and more than 100 container semi-trailers). Careful planning and replacement of vehicles allowed to reach an important milestone: 90% Euro VI vehicles.
In 2021
The company obtained two important certifications: UNI ISO 39001:2019 (road traffic safety management system) and UNI ISO 45001:2018 (occupational health and safety management system), as well as maintaining UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 (quality management system) since 1999.
In 2023
Relocation to the operational site in the Quadrante Europa area to boost the container sector and improve road traffic flows. Construction of the new semi-trailer and trailer park. Expansion of the vehicle fleet with an increase in the number of vehicles (45 road tractors and 120 container semi-trailers). Careful planning and replacement of vehicles allowed to achieve an important goal: 100% Euro VI vehicles.
